Top pick: #2 (KITTEN DE PERE) (7-2) - One of two daughters of top sire "Kitten's Joy" that are entered and she enters off an even third place finish here at this level on Nov. 12. It was her first since late March and she probably needed the start. Trainer Mike Chambers has won with 6 of 12 (50%) runners second off of long layoffs and this filly gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Boss Kitten) (3-1) - Speedy filly breaks from the rail and has gone 5-1-3-0 overall on the grass and is 2-1-1-0 on this course. She was 3 1/2 in front of "Kitten de Pere" last out and has worked fast since. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Garnisheed Wagers) (7-2) - Very strong finisher is the fields only maiden and enters off a very strong effort last out when beaten a 1/2 length facing males. Well bred filly has a shot at running down the top pair turning for home.
4th pick: #6 (Memo from Pat) (8-1) - Grey filly has early speed and broke her maiden here in gate-to-wire fashion at this distance on Nov. 16. It was her second back from a six month break and veteran Scott Stevens stays aboard. Don't just dismiss her.
