Top pick: #3 (LUV DA SKIN SHEZIN) (2-1) - One of two entered by the leading trainer here (Bob Diodoro), and the pair race uncoupled. This lightly raced daughter of "Latent Heat" will be racing off almost a two month freshening, moving from dirt to turf, and stretching out in distance. Working fast locally, and she gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Guild) (9-5) - The vast Darley Stable operation always sends some of there less talented runner here for turf racing. This daughter of "Medaglia d'Oro" made up some ground when debuting on the Golden Gate lawn Sept. 14th. Trainer Eoin Harty has her working nicely at Santa Anita, and I almost made her the top pick.
3rd pick: #7 (Twelve K Run) (10-1) - The second of the Diodoro fillies, she's been freshened up since late Sept. Bred for the grass ("Noonmark"), and her recent work line indicates that she's ready to be competitive.
4th pick: #1 (Honey in Paradise) (8-1) - She's going dirt to turf and stretching out around two-turns for the first time. Filly was competitive two back at Los Alamitos and draws the ground saving rail. In a capable barn (Molly Pearson), and she adds blinkers for this attempt.
