Top pick: #1 (COLOR OUT) (3-1) - This field is loaded with many veteran geldings, and this 9yo had a fast 5-furlong breeze here on Oct. 12 for his first race since Aug. 3. He still brings a solid game and has gone 9-2-2-2 in 2014. Speed/stalker is 12-2-3-3 here at Turf Paradise and draws the rail. Okie bred gets a very slight edge in what looks like a four horse race on paper.
2nd pick: #2 (Bo Jack) (5-1) - Speedy New Mexico bred is making his Turf Paradise debut after going 22-3-4-2 overall and a very respectable 11-2-3-2 at this distance. Working well locally, and 4yo is in a capable barn (Jon Nance).
3rd pick: #3 (Poker dave) (2-1) - He has a recency edge on the top pair as he comes here from Fresno off a pair of competitive efforts earlier this month. He's making his first local start, but has gone 20-4-7-4 away from here on conventional dirt.
4th pick: #6 (Dugan Bill) (9-2) - Another shipping in from Fresno, gelding has some back class, and is racing back into shape following a series of layoffs. Must be left under consideration.
