Top pick: #2 (PEPPY MILLER) (2-1) - The probable favorite, she's lightly raced and comes off a troubled and close up finish here going a mile on the turf at this level on Feb. 10th. Daughter of "Fusaichi Pegasus" was an easy winner here in her previous dirt start, and earned the highest "figure" any of these has ever run. Working fast and the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #5 (Fadeintoinfinity) (5-2) - English-bred filly makes her local debut off a 70 day freshening, and has a new trainer Ed Kereluk. She's working fast locally, and will be making her dirt debut. 4yo showed some talent in her native land, and is dangerous.
3rd pick: #4 (La Tonga) (5-1) - Very lightly raced, she hasn't seen action since breaking her maiden on the Golden Gate "poly" in late April going 2-furlongs. She has a new trainer (Jeff Metz 27% with new stock), and this 3yo Cal-bred was bet heavily in both starts.
4th pick: #6 (Silver n'Ice) (6-1) - Speed/stalker has gone 5-0-1-2 at this condition, and is capable of getting another minor award with her normal effort.
