Top pick: #6 (ROCKIN COWGIRL) (2-1) - Extremely fast from the gate, home-bred ships back from Santa Anita where she set a quick and pressured pace before tiring to finish fourth there when facing much tougher on March 30th. Owner/trainer Jacque Guerra worked her a sizzling half-mile April 14th and filly looks set for her maiden win.
2nd pick: #5 (Swinging Moon) (5-2) - The only danger, she just missed when debuting here at this level and distance April 5th. Daughter of "Malibu Moon" is in the barn of leading trainer Bob Diodoro and is the likely winner if "Cowgirl" tires late.
3rd pick: #4 (Get Up and Try) (5-1) - Canadian-bred looks next best in here as she's finished third in both starts separated by 6 1/2 months. Lightly-raced, she has room for upside and is making back-to-back starts for the first time.
4th pick: #3 (Shoeless Jackson) (8-1) - She has a bit of late kick and just missed here facing weaker on March 12th. Cal.-bred regressed in her latest when six back of "Swinging Moon" and will need a pace collapse for anything more than a small slice.
