Top pick: #1 (GYPSY RAIN) (8-5) - Filly did not finish on Sept. 26 racing as the heavy favorite for an $8000 tag at Alburquerque. She had finished second in three of her previous four starts with a pair of those placings coming here. She drops to a new low, has the best early speed, and draws the rail. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Her Lucky Spirit) (2-1) - High percentage trainer Mike Chambers is off to another sizzling start here and sends out this daughter of "California Chrome's" sire "Lucky Pulpit." She hasn't shown much to date, but has been facing much tougher and is running off a trainer switch to Chambers (a 28% winning angle).
3rd pick: #4 (Gold Ore) (5-1) - Lightly raced 4yo has raced evenly in California in her first pair and is taking a big drop in class for her Turf Paradise debut. Working fast for her first since Sept. 14, and she's taken some betting action in her first two outings.
4th pick: #6 (Feisty Ghost) (8-1) - By far the field's most experienced maiden, she's not a win candidate, but New Mexico bred may round out the tri and/or super at a square price.
