Top pick: #5 (CALL IVY) (5-1) - Lightly raced home bred is working steadily for her first start since late April. She finished second in both turf attempts at that time, and speed/stalker can take this at a square price if ready.
2nd pick: #2 (Liar Liar Liar) (7-5) - Stalker is working fast for her first since late June. Classier type is in the barn of leading trainer Bob Diodoro, and mare has a fine local record (7-1-3-2). Obvious win candidate, and I could have easily made her the top choice.
3rd pick: #4 (Little Bit Cactus) (4-1) - Cal bred rallied to check in a non-threatening third here at this level Nov. 18th. It was her first back off a series of layoffs, and it's nice to see her brought back in three weeks for this attempt. Filly has gone 15-1-4-4 on this course in the past, and veteran Scott Stevens is back on the re-ride.
4th pick: #6 (Teacra) (10-1) - Longshot ran evenly here in a dirt sprint one week ago. Good barn (Joe Toye) brings her back quickly, moves her to the turf for the first time, and stretches her out in distance.
