(# 3) Ninth of July - Sports the fields highest last race figure and it came against open company at Calder. Has speed and makes first start ever against fellow state breds. Gleaves generally has a winner or two at this meet.

(# 5) Mia - This marks start #8 already this season, and closer should have been able to make more of an impact last out, given the swift pace that ensued.

(#'s 1 and 11) Longinfortheone and Mizzenkey - "Longin" is making seasonal debut off of some swift works. Was well-bet in two of three starts at two last season. Mizzenkey needs a scratch in the main body to compete.
