Top pick: #12 (DEPTH) - He was scratched late in the Del Mar meet and skipped the short session at Fairplex. Stalker ran well on this surface last April when he finished second here facing tougher and has a very fast local work a week ago. Everything looks in place for his maiden win.
2nd pick: #5 (Quality Storm) - Races second back off a five-month layoff and this gelding by "Elusive quality" showed good speed at Fairplex in his return Sept. 18 before weakening to finish third. Improving, in the Drysdale barn, and a win threat.
3rd pick: #3 (Del Mar Johnny) - Speedy sort exits the same last race as Depth and this gelding tired late after chasing a fast pace in that August 26 contest at Del Mar. Working fine locally and he'll be racing on real dirt for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (Cut N'Deal) - Veteran maiden has finished second in two tries on this surface and is working steadily over at San Luis Rey Downs for his first start since May 30. Stalker can grab a share at a nice price.
