Top pick: #4 (SWISS LAKE YODELER) (3-1) - One of two entered by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer and this home-bred by "Swiss Yodeler" won a stakes for fellow Cal.-breds on this surface going a mile on Nov. 1. Stalker raced very wide and evenly on the grass last out and did so from a terrible post (13th of 14). Working fast for this and I like her chances.
2nd pick: #3 (Awesome Baby) (5-2) - One of two fillies from the Baffert barn and this daughter of "Awesome Again" has the best early speed. She won the "Santa Ynez" stakes (G2) in wire-to-wire fashion on Jan. 4 and will be stretching out off of some quick works.
3rd pick: #6 (Sweet Bliss) (9-2) - Very lightly-raced home-bred moves way up in class after rallying to break her maiden here at this trip on Jan. 30. Daughter of "Street Cry" is bred for a wet track and can factor despite the big move up.
4th pick: #7 (Be Proud) (6-1) - The second of the Baffert fillies, she has some early speed, but is a bit light in the "figure" department. She won the "Cal Oaks" last out at Golden Gate and has run well on this surface in the past 2-1-1-0.
