Top pick: #4 (MISS MATCH) - Longshot is a dirt specialist and was an impressive winner at Golden Gate Fields facing weaker on Jan.23rd in her first start in almost 3 months and first off a trainer switch to Neil Drysdale. Argentine import's figure appear a bit "light" but she should be at her peak in her 2nd off the rest and Garret Gomez (who won on her at Saratoga last August)takes the ride. Has a solid shot at an upset.
2nd pick: #1 (St. Trinians) - The probable heavy favorite obviously has plenty of talent and quality and gave "Horse of the Year" Zenyatta all she could handle last June in the G1 "Vanity" at Hollywood Park. Working fine, has the rail, and she'd be no surprise. The negative is that she's never raced on real dirt before.
3rd pick: #2 (Vision in Gold) - Nice win on this surface Dec. 30th and this lightly raced filly by "Medaglia d'Oro" is in a patirnt barn (Ron Ellis) and looks well-prepared for this attempt. Can factor from just off the pace.
