Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (INDUSTRIALIST) (7-2) - Debuting colt by 'City Zip' cost $300,000 as a 2yo in training last March. Debuting today off of some very quick a.m. works, he's from the Baffert barn (24% first out).
nd pick: #2 (Uncle Billy) (5-1) - Another making his debut, this gelded son of 'Uncle Mo' sold for $360K as a yearling during the fall of 2015. Working fast at San Luis Rey Downs, his trainer Pete Miller scores at a solid 22% clip first out.
rd pick: #9 (Kimbear) (3-1) - Competitive in all five starts, he's moving back to the dirt following a close up 3rd place finish here on the grass Jan. 16. He has a nice outside post for this trip and must be left in the mix.
th pick: #8 (Sonneteer) (5-1) - Experienced colt is shortening up in distance following an even 3rd place finish here going 8.5 furlongs Feb. 4. Stretch runner will need some pace help in this spot.
th pick: #4 (Liberty Park) (15-1) - Longshot showed little when debuting in a Del Mar grass contest Dec. 4. Working well since, he moves to the dirt, shortens up, and has blinkers on.
