Top pick: #6 (CALIFORNIA JADE) (3-1) - The probable favorite, gelding set a pressured pace and held to finish second here at this level going 5.5-furlongs on Feb. 6th. Nice effort, and he catches a field without much visible pace signed on.
2nd pick: #7 (Mosso) (9-2) - Improving colt has finished close up here in two straight facing tougher, and is dropping down and getting the addition of blinkers. He had a very fast gate work a week ago and is a win threat.
3rd pick: #1 (W. Giles) (9-2) - Away slowly in his debut, gelding rushed up and tired to finish a distant third here in a small field (6) on Jan. 23rd. Working fast since, and 3yo by "Swiss Yodeler" can factor with a clean getaway.
4th pick: #8 (Lay It On) (6-1) - Debuting gelding is by an under-rated stallion ("Flatter"), and has a steady work tab on view. In a capable barn (Mark Glatt), and this 3yo need not be much to factor against these.
