Top pick: #9 (HEAD SOUTH) (6-1) - Lightly raced gelding was an impressive maiden winner here on Feb. 14th and was claimed that day by Hector Palma for $50K. Trainer has him working fast and Bejarano gets aboard for the first time. Can take this at a square price.
nd pick: #6 (Remind Mee) (9-2) - Very fast from the gate, colt set a quick and pressured pace before weakening just a bit to finish third at this level going "down the hill" on the local turf March 23. It was his second back from almost a year's layoff, and he'd won here on the dirt in his return to action. Win candidate.
rd pick: #8 (Market Notes) (12-1) - Price play moves up in class following a second place finish here racing for a $20K tag on March 6. It was his first since late Dec., and colt was re-claimed that day by Melody Conlon. 3yo has worked twice since, and stalker should get a fast and/or contested pace to close into.
th pick: #1 (Bench Press) (4-1) - He broke his maiden here on Feb. 17th and earned the highest "figure" any of these has achieved. Working both steadily and above average, stalker draws the rail.
th pick: #12 (Charbroiled) (15-1) - He blew away $20K maiden claimers March 21 to get his first win and was claimed that day by Vann Belvoir. Another that's working fast, he's lightly raced and has room for upside.
