Top pick: #6 (TAP DANCING) (3-1) - Irish import has gone 6-0-3-3 since her debut and finished a close up third here at this level and distance on Oct. 12. It was her first race in North America and first off a three month layoff. Filly is racing against males, but I like her chances despite that fact.
2nd pick: #3 (Act) (5-2) - Lightly-raced and well bred, $310,000 son of "War Front" finished a pace-setting third here at this level and distance in early April. On the sidelines since, he's training fast and is a major threat if ready off the long layoff.
3rd pick: #1 (Monsieur Power) (8-1) - Another Irish import just missed in his North American debut going a mile at Del Mar on Sept. 1. He followed that up with a poor effort after an awkward break here Sept. 28 and is trying this "down the hill" trip for the first time. A win threat at a square price with an alert getaway.
4th pick: #5 (Snuggley Bear) (7-2) - Colt has been freshened up for just under two months and has been competitive in all his local grass starts at 3-0-2-1. Home bred has experience at this "down the hill" trip and it's noted that Bejarano is aboard this 3-year-old for the first time since early March.
