Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #1 (LOOKING AT THELAKE) (4-1) - Since moving to the turf in her second start, she's gone 4-1-3-0. Filly broke her maiden here going a mile for a $50K tag April 14. It was her first since late Feb. and first on the West Coast. Claimed that day by John Sadler (27% off the barn switch), he's worked her four times since, and stretches her out a furlong.
2nd pick: #3 (La Force) (5-2) - German bred filly is dropping in class following five straight stakes attempts since coming from Europe early last fall. She improved last out (March 11) when blinkers were added and should enjoy the longer distance.
3rd pick: #7 (Zaffinah) (6-1) - Irish import moves up in class to face winners for the first time. She has early speed, is clearly improving, and she worked a sharp half-mile May 10.
4th pick: #8 (Tiburtina) (7-2) - Another Irish import, she's another dropping down following a series of appearances in stakes races. The distance is in her range, and she should be finishing fast.
