Top pick: #4 (MAVERICKS GUN) (3-1) - He enters in career best form and last out missed by a "nose" here going 7-furlongs for a $25K tag. Stalker was claimed that day by Doug O'Neill (19% first off the claim) and he has this lightly raced 5yo spotted well in this starter-allowance. A bullet 5-furlong breeze here on June 11 adds to the plusses.
2nd pick: #10 (Fight the Power) (10-1) - Speedy gelding drops in class after a rather poor effort facing tougher here on may 17. That was his first since April 12th when he was claimed at Oaklawn Park by trainer Cody Autry for $40K. Drops, is working fast for this, and has blinkers back on after a two race experiment without the "hood". "Live" longshot.
3rd pick: #1 (Presiding Justice) (5-2) - The "morning line" favorite, he rallied from back to win his debut here Feb 23rd going 6.5-furlongs for a $30K tag. Claimed that day by John Sadler, gelding missed by a "head" at this level May 17 in his first for the new barn. Working fine, he has the rail and is an obvious threat.
4th pick: #3 (Solid Wager) (9-2) - He showed some "promise' last year as a 2yo and rallied to finish 2nd here facing weaker on may 31st. That was his second back from a 9 month layoff and the "red hot" barn of Pete Miller brings him back in three weeks with a rise in class.
