Top pick: #3 (JACKSON SUNDOWN) (4-1) - Gelding has gone 8-1-4-1 since early March and he enters off a near miss at this level on Sept. 13 at Los Alamitos. It was a career best overall and his first on conventional dirt. Gets a slight edge.
nd pick: #8 (Romar Success) (7-2) - He's been competitive in all seven starts since returning from a 16 1/2 month layoff on April 13th. Capable on real dirt and stalker is a win candidate this afternoon.
rd pick: #4 (Crux) (5-1) - Lightly-raced and speedy, his lone win came on real dirt and he enters off a good effort at this level on Sept. 7 at Los Al. He should be involved from start-to-finish.
th pick: #6 (Cinmars Dance) (5-1) - He was only a length off of "Jackson" last out at Los Al and has worked fast since. Colt has a flexible style and has a shot with his best.
th pick: #1 (Songforjohnmichael) (8-1) - Longshot has the rail, some early speed, and may grab a share from close range.
