Top pick: #8 (OMAR LITTLE) (5-2) - Lightly-raced gelding finished a stubborn and pace-setting second racing here at this distance for a $30K tag on Feb. 15. Claimed that day by Mike Puype, he's freshened him up since and has him working fast at Los Alamitos. Barn has picked up some momentum of late after a two month dry spell and has this 4-year-old spotted to win.
nd pick: #9 (Chattering Class) (4-1) - Speedy sort set a soft pace and tired to finish third when racing here at this tag going 7-furlongs May 23rd. That was a career best, and the hot barn of Pete Miller brings him back quickly and shortens him up in distance. Contender.
rd pick: #3 (Gospel Music) (3-1) - Gelding raced wide going a mile when facing tougher on May 25th. He'd gone 5-0-2-2 sprinting prior to that and trainer Craig Dollase drops his price in half and shortens him up 2.5-furlongs. Win threat.
th pick: #2 (Warren's Sunny Boy) (12-1) - Warren home-bred is showing some improvement of late and last out raced evenly after a troubled start just 12 days ago. He moves from the outside post to the two-slot and may grab a share at expected long odds.
th pick: #10 (Triunfo) (8-1) - He didn't fire last out for the first time in four starts. Lightly-raced home-bred had an uncomfortable trip while racing between horses that day, and the move to the outside should lead to a less stressful journey.
