2nd pick: #3 (Paint Me Lucky) (5-2) - Speedy 5yo has been freshened up since tiring badly following a terrible start Nov. 29 at Del Mar racing at this level and distance. It was his first race in 17.5 months and he's been training fast locally for Bob Baffert. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Mongolian Legend) (4-1) - Competitive in five of his last six starts, one-run type moves back in with maidens after missing by just under 2 lengths here facing $50K starter-allowance foes Jan. 26. He's in the win mix and is very dangerous.
