Top pick: #8 (TIME FOR A J) (2-1) - Lightly raced gelding tired very late after setting a pressured pace racing here at this tag & trip on May 10. It was his first since debuting at Del Mar last July, and it's nice to see trainer Walt Solis bring him back quickly for this attempt.
2nd pick: #2 (Shop Forever) (7-2) - Home-bred raced evenly after a "slow" start from the rail post in a large field (12) when debuting here at this level just nine days ago. The Carava brings him back on short notice, and gelding is a win candidate this afternoon.
3rd pick: #4 (Forest Image) (5-1) - One of four making their debuts, Bobby Grayson home-bred has some sharp works off-site, and 4yo need not be anything special to factor against this group.
4th pick: #3 (Celestial Image) (4-1) - Another of the "firsters," he's from a more than capable barn (Phil D'Amato), and trainer had a debuting runner score here recently. 3yo by "Southern Image" is working steadily on this surface and has a dozen published a.m. moves since late February.
