Top pick: #2 (RUNFLATOUT) - He ships back from Saratoga where he tired after being involved in a suicidal pace-duel in the Kings Bishop S.(G1) on Aug. 27. In over his head that day he's spotted much better this afternoon and has a pair of very quick local works showing. Son of "Flatter" broke his maiden here last January and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Red Ace) - He looked like he had a bright future following an impressive maiden win at the Fair Grounds March 13, but has been on the sidelines since May 15 when he had a "troubled" trip on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs. Returns today with a new trainer (Bob Baffert) and $300K coly by "Northern Afleet" is working fast for this.
3rd pick: #4 (Brace Yourselves) - He's working fast locally for his first start since March 12 and he was a sharp maiden winner on this surface in early Feb. Could factor at a square price if ready.
