Top pick: #5 (ARMENSKY) (7-2) - He finished fifth of 12, beaten 6 1/2 lengths when debuting on Aug. 21 at Del Mar at this tag. Freshened up since, he's been working fast locally, and can take this with a bit of a move forward.
nd pick: #2 (Broadcaster) (5-1) - Irish import ships down from Golden Gate Fields where he finished second on the "Tapeta" surface racing for a $16K tag. Claimed that day by Matt Chew, he's worked him twice locally and should factor for a barn that wins at a 20% clip first off the claim.
rd pick: #7 (Troy Story) (6-1) - He enters off an even effort at this tag going a mile at Los Alamitos Sept. 14. Veteran maiden has slipped a bit this year, but can still factor against these with his best.
th pick: #11 (Raspberry Ala Mode) (10-1) - Gelding was off slowly when debuting at Del Mar on July 31. He faced much tougher that afternoon and is working fast, draws a nice post at this distance, and takes a big drop in class.
th pick: #9 (Play Maker) (10-1) - Even paced type has finished third in both starts on real dirt at this price tag and may get another minor award with a repeat of either of those efforts.
