Top pick: #5 (WHOWHATWHY) - Filly was involved in a spirited pace-duel here at this price and distance racing on a very muddy surface on Oct. 1 and held well to finish third. Is in the Garcia barn, has back class, and she has a nice 3-furlong breeze three days ago. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Heaven's Cheer) - Hawthorne shipper is very quick from the gate but has stopped badly in her last pair after coming back from a 3 1/2 month layoff on Oct. 15. She's mich better on the grass, but at this 5-furlong trip her speed must be respected.
3rd pick: #7 (Nauset Light) - She doesn't need the lead to run well and there's lots of speed to her left in the gate. New York-bred ships down from Finger Lakes and makes her first start for trainer Craig Cox (15% with new arrivals). Win threat.
