Top pick: #3 (QUEEN NEFERTITI) - Daughter of "Salt Lake" hasn't run in almost a year, but showed good early speed when last in action. She races today off a trainer change to Dave Wells (25% with new arrivals) and has a trio of above average drills at Penn National showing. The top selection.
2nd pick: #4 (Ladiano) - The probable favorite has finished second in four straight starts, the last three coming on this surface. Speed/stalker is an obvious win candidate especially if "Queen" isn't at her best off a long layoff.
3rd pick: #8 (Loving Redemption) - Not many runners by "Gone West" racing here and this Presque Isle shipper will be racing on conventional dirt for the first time. She has a bit of speed and trainer Jeff Greenhill has done well from a limited number of starters at this meet (11-2-2-3). Nice to see Oswaldo Pereira aloft.
