Top pick: #3 (MONKEY'S QUICK CAT) - Lightly-raced son of "Tale of the Cat" runs off a two month break and will move from the barn of Eric Reed to his brother Herbert. Colt goes turf-to-dirt, has blinkers added, and his maiden win came at Beulah Park on the dirt in late March. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Mckluskey) - Thistledown shipper broke his maiden there facing "open" special weights August 29, then pressed and tired in an entry-level alowance restricted to Ohio-breds Sept. 17. Drops, has good early speed, and gelding draws the rail.
3rd pick: #6 (My Knight Indeed) - Has plenty of back class and races that tower over these, but they've all come on synthetic surfaces. Drops down, has a new trainer (Randy Faulkner), and Ontario-bred will be running on conventional dirt for the first time. It's noted that leading rider Deshawn Parker is signed on.
