Top pick: #3 (TWEEBSTER) - Grey colt lost as a heavy favorite here facing weaker on Nov. 11, but it was his first start in 8 1/2 months and should serve as a nice set race for this stakes. Baffert trainee has worked fast since and has excellent early speed in a contest without much pace on paper. Bejarano stays put and this 4-year-old by "Tapit" can win this very competitive race at a nice price.
2nd pick: #5 (Summer Movie) - He defeated cheaper Oct. 20 at Santa Anita, but the "figure" earned was solid and was his best since July of 2010 when he just missed in the Swaps S.(G2) run on this surface at this distance. Has more speed than most and can factor at a nice price.
3rd pick: #4 (Rescue Squad) - Strong stretch runner ships west from Keeneland where he rallied from far back to win a 2x allowance at this 1 1/8th mile trip. Improving, never gets tired, and the combination of trainer "Shug" McGaughey and jockey Mike Smith was legendary on the east coast many years ago.
