Top pick: #10 (JUST IMAGINE) - Probable favorite has finished second in three straight starts, the last pair coming on this surface at this distance. Grey son of "Unbridled's Song" has a bullet work a week ago, draws a good post for this distance, and he's the top selection.
2nd pick: #1 (Patriot's Voyage) - Speedy colt by "Awesome Again" cost $625K, but has yet to finish in the money in three previous starts. Trainer Bob Baffert has him working very fast for this, presumably with the blinkers on that he'll wear this afternoon. Cuts back in distance and his speed makes him dangerous.
3rd pick: #2 (Matlow) - Four-year-old finished second here at this condition May 15th in his first start since early Sept. and is working fast for trainer Bruce Headley for his second back off the long break. Stalker has been given almost seven weeks to recover from that come back race and is a threat if he repeats it this afternoon.
4th pick: #9 (Imperial Pride) - Another who's working very fast and this will be his first start since May 1st of 2010 running in the slop at Churchill Downs. Colt had been competitive in his first three starts at Santa Anita on their synthetic surface before they switched back over to conventional dirt. This son of "Linehouse" is a threat if he runs to his morning drills.
