Top pick: #2 (CHOP HOUSE GEORGE) - Veteran obviously has some issues with only four starst since Jan. of 2010. That said, he has sharp early speed, is working nicely, races at the right level, and finished second in his only previous try on this "tricky" surface. Gets the call in a tough contest.
2nd pick: #5 (The Hunt is On) - He ran evenly facing slightly tougher at Del Mar August 20 in his first start in nearly two months. Has back class, a flexible style, and a fast work on August 31 before coming north.
3rd pick: #8 (Orbach) - Lightly-raced gelding has the best last race of any when he was beaten a nose at this price on August 25 at Del Mar. Stretches-out today and trainer Doug O'Neill gives a "leg up" to Marty Pedroza. Improving, well-bred, and a win threat.
