Top pick: #2 (MISS PLEASANT) - Her best race ever came when she won a stakes in June of 2010 at Pleasanton in her only previous start on conventional dirt. Racing back into shape following some layoffs, mare is working fast at Santa Anita for this and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Lily Fa Pootz) - Four of her eight lifetime wins have come on the dirt and veteran mare has the rail, good positional speed, and Pedroza is aboard for the first time. She defeated "Pleasant" eariler this year by a nose on the grass and must be considered a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Hopeful Union) - Lightly raced, in carrer best form right now, and she finished second this past March at Santa Anita in a solid performance on real dirt. Price play should be involved from start to finish.
