Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #7 (NINE IS MINE) (5-2) - This very lightly raced 3yo had a rough trip between horses last out and was beaten by just over seven lengths facing tougher. Freshened up since that Feb. 21 attempt, he takes a big drop, retains leading rider Tim Thornton, and gets top billing.
2nd pick: #6 (Our Bermuda) (7-2) - Another taking a drop, he moves back to the dirt following a poor local effort on the grass June 6. No speed type had broken his maiden at the Fair Grounds on the dirt March 14, and a fast and/or contested pace would help his style out.
3rd pick: #3 (Tune My Guitar) (4-1) - This 6yo rallied to finish 2nd here at this level and distance June 18 in his second start back following a three-month vacation. He's now run 2nd in three straight when at this $5K tag facing state-breds, and he must be left in the mix.
