Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (CASINO BEACH) (7-2) - Lightly-raced filly ships from the Fair Grounds where she missed by a 'nose' for a $12,500 tag Dec. 10. It was her second back from a four month layoff and first ever in a claimer. Even-paced in a pair here facing tougher prior to that, she looks tough in today's opener.
2nd pick: #2 (Theyankeefuse) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, she raced evenly here facing tougher Nov. 9 in her first race since Feb. 1. Four-year-old had finished second at that level in her first pair here and owner/breeder/trainer Sam Breaux drops her into a claimer for the first time. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Our Bernattete) (4-1) - She finished fourth at the Fair Grounds Dec 10 in the same last race as 'Casino Beach'. Four-year-old was just over 2 lengths behind that foe and needs to do just a bit better for any chance at winning this.
4th pick: #5 (May Break Sixty) (6-1) - From a solid small barn (Justin Jeansonne), filly tired late to finish a close up third when debuting at the Fair Grounds on a sloppy surface Nov. 30. Normal second out improvement has her factoring at a square price.
