(#'s 1 and 1A) NERINX and BROOKER - We'll take either one as our top selection. If both decide to go, all-the-better. Art Sherman trains this entry, and he has picked up a little steam here lately. We think that Brooker is the better of the pair, as this will be his first start off the Sherman claim, a 30% move by the trainer. The post, and the distance (seven furlongs) also appear to fit his style. Nerinx is also first off the claim, and he easily won his last over this surface with the second-place runner returning to win. Strong coupling.

(# 4) Court's in Session - This marks veterans first try on a poly surface. Fits if he can make the transition, and trainer has proved to be very successful on the new surfaces (22%).

(# 2) Dr. Einstein - Speed or stalking ability is a plus. Makes his second start off a two-month layoff, and it's encouraging that he hasn't needed more time off between starts. May offer a square price.

(# 10) Paddy Murphy - Has run well off the bench before, and has a win earlier in the season over Hollywood's poly-surface. Working well, but fitness seems to be the key to this new surface.
