Top pick: #9 (PUSHBACKJACK) - Emeral Downs shipper has been competitive in all three starts this year and will be dropping down in price and racing on a synthetic surface for the first time. Trainer Fran Lucarelli wins race wherever he runs and he adds blinkers to this gelding by "Point Given" today. Can take this at a big price.
2nd pick: #5 (Boomtown) - He finished a pace-setting second here at this tag going 5 furlongs July 31. Effort came first off almost a 10 month layoff and trainer Bobby Grayson brings him back quickly for this.
3rd pick: #2 (Slew's Dark Knight) - Runs third off a 70 day freshening and he showed some speed last out before tiring. He's been bet in most of his starts and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #14 (Chi Cha Cha) - He raced evenly here July 22 in his first back off almost an eight week break and has a pair of nice works heading into this. Has a tough post, but can factor, especially if the speed doesn't hold.
