3rd pick: #1 (American Pharoah) (6-1) - The second of the Baffert duo, he's one of four maidens entered and showed good early speed while racing widest when debuting here on Aug. 9. He weakened in the final furlong but had a blazing 5-furlong breeze here on Aug. 27. Has the rail and will be sent hard from the start.
4th pick: #6 (Henry's Holiday) (5-1) - He's been competitive in all three attempts and last out rallied to finish second to "Skyway" here in the "Best Pal" stakes (G2) a month ago. Son of "Harlan's Holiday' has a shot from off the pace.
5th pick: #5 (Iron Fist) (5-1) - The field's wild card, he's rallied from far back in both starts after breaking slowly in each. Grey son of "Tapit" obviously has talent has worked well above average in three drills since finishing second here on Aug. 9. Maiden will be flying fast in the last furlong.
