Bet this race at Top pick: #9 (One Timer) (4-1) - It's been three races and three wins for this lightning-quick 2-year-old Kentucky-bred gelding. One Timer comes off a 5-furlong victory in the Speakeasy Stakes, topping 9-to-5 favorite Forbidden Kingdom five weeks ago. One Timer has shot out to blistering early leads in all three and took the Victoria Stakes by 3 3/4 lengths and by 12 1/2 lengths in his 5-furlong debut in June.
2nd pick: #7 (Armor) (6-1) - In two races at 6-furlongs, Armor finished 3rd and 4th, but in two races at 5-furlongs, this 2-year-old Colt shined with 1st and 2nd place finishes. In the Molecomb Stakes, Armor sat behind the early pace before finding the inside rail and never looked back, topping the 13-to-8 favorite, Fearby. At the Flying Childers Stakes, Armor came in 2nd by a neck in the waning strides to Caturra.
3rd pick: #3 (Go Bears Go) (15-1) - This impressive sprinter is off of a poor showing at the Dewhurst Stakes. However, that was the first time Go Bears Go was stretched out to 7-furlongs. In four other shorter races, this 2-year-old colt finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Go Bears Go won the Railway Stakes (6 furlongs) at 9-to-1, finished 2nd by a neck at the Norfolk Stakes to Perfect Power, and a 3rd place showing at the Phoenix Stakes in August. With an excellent post position draw here, Go Bears Go will be in the running in its shortest race since June.
