Top pick: #2 (WOODY'S WHARF) (5-1) - Filly has been freshened up sincve July 13th and trainer Doug O'Neill will drop her way down in class and has her on a synthetic surfaces for the first time. Working fine, Trujillo stays aboard, and daughter of grass champ "English Channel" can take this on the drop.
2nd pick: #6 (Sheza Eyeopener) (7-2) - She rallied to miss by less than a length racing here at this level and distance Aug. 14. Filly has been sharp in three of her last four and is a win candidate this afternoon.
3rd pick: #4 (Giant Journey) (6-1) - Lightly-raced and speedy, she's been competitive in all three starts and is dropping in class and going turf to "poly." Her only win came on a synthetic surface and her early speed against this field makes her dangerous.
4th pick: #1 (Hero's Marine) (20-1) - Not a win candidate, she hasn't shown much this year, but has the rail and is racing with blinkers off. May get a minor award at a big price.
