Top pick: #4 (THERMAL NERMAL) (7-2) - She has the best overall form of this field, but all but one of her starts have come on the grass. Stalker is dropping in class for her "poly" debut and is the horse to beat if she handles it.
nd pick: #5 (Joeandbetty'sbaby) (3-1) - Another who has excellent grass form, she fits on "figures," and the distance is not a problem. Trainer Vlad Cerin drops her in class and daughter of "Yes It's True" is a win candidate.
rd pick: #2 (Silk in Silver) (6-1) - Speedy filly breaks just off the rail, and unlike the top two picks, she has run well on a "poly" surface in the past. Very dangerous if she gets an uncontested early lead.
th pick: #9 (Itz a Saint) (5-1) - She races first off an Andy Mathis claim (21%), and he moves her from dirt to "poly" in this spot. She's won three of eight on synthetic surfaces and is a threat from off the pace.
th pick: #7 (Ghost n Your Heart) (6-1) - Synthetics specialist (10-5-0-2) races first off a claim by Gary Stute, and mare rallied to finish second at Los Alamitos going seven-furlongs the day she was taken. She has some back class, local experience, and can grab a share with her best.
