Top pick: #10 (BIJOUX) (7-2) - Lightly raced and well bred, she raced wide here at this level and distance July 19 while checking in fifth of 12, beaten four lengths. It was her first race since late October when she just missed when debuting at Santa Anita. Trainer John Sadler has worked her five times since that return effort, and she's the filly to beat.
nd pick: #11 (Nighttiming) (5-1) - She finished a pace-pressing second here going 1 1/8th mile on the main track at this level Aug. 2. It was her first race in 70-days, first for trainer Kristin Mulhall, and first on the West Coast. Major player as she switches back to the turf.
rd pick: #7 (Halljoy) (4-1) - Irish import went 6-0-1-3 racing in England, and when last in action was beaten a "neck" at this distance racing on the Lingfield "poly" course March 1. Working well for her North American debut, and her new trainer (Gary Mandella) adds Lasix. It's duly noted that Bejarano is aboard.
th pick: #6 (See Through) (9-2) - Very lightly raced filly has been sharp in both starts at this level going "down the hill" at Santa Anita. One run type is racing off a three month break and is trying a two-turn trip for the first time.
th pick: #5 (Charm Catcher) (6-1) - The fields most experienced maiden, she's finished second in three of six starts on the grass, and has done so facing some talented runners. Fits with her best.
