Top pick: #1 (JENNAKINS) (5-1) - Speedy filly tired last out chasing a fast pace while wide here facing tougher on July 20. It was her first off a private trainer change to Mark Glatt, and he drops her in class and has Bejarano aboard. 3yo has the rail and will be tough on the front end.
nd pick: #10 (Mom's Winner) (7-2) - She chased a fast pace following some trouble at the start and held to finish third here facing a bit better July 27. It was her first off a Ron Ellis claim and first on a synthetic surface. Win candidate.
rd pick: #7 (Private Marina) (15-1) - Longshot has had excuses in all three starts and has still finished within range in each. Grey filly is racing second off an 80-day freshening and is a factor at a big price with a clean break.
th pick: #4 (Desert Madam) (3-1) - Home bred comes off a career best when she chased and held to finish second here at this level July 27. She was in front of both "Mom's Winner" & "Private Marina" that afternoon, but did not have an excuse. Contender, but may be over-bet a bit.
th pick: #8 (Hot and Pleasing) (10-1) - She takes a drop in class, shortens up in distance, and is moving from turf to "poly." Fits at a nice price if she handles the footing.
