Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (LA CHANCLA) (4-1) - A $775,000 daughter of 'Uncle Mo,' she recover following a trouble break to finish 4th of 10, beaten just over two lengths when debuting at this level going six furlongs at Churchill Downs May 30. 3yo has worked very fast twice since for trainer Rodolphe Brisset (17% second time out), and he has Jose Ortiz aboard for this ride.
2nd pick: #1 (My Happy Place) (9-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, she enters off a solid debut here June 6 while racing at this level and distance. She was bumped at the break, but did rally to finish 2nd. Hall of Famer 'Shug' McGaughey wins at a 17% clip second out, has worked her twice since, and Joel Rosario stays aboard. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (My Bronx Tale) (8-1) - Away from action since late July of last year, this longshot has a new trainer, Michelle Nevin, and she has this 4yo daughter of 'Speightstown' working fast on training track at Saratoga. The presence of John Velazquez indicates that the barn likes her chance.
4th pick: #9 (Bossy Bride) (8-1) - This filly ships up from Maryland where she missed by a 'nose' at Laurel going 5.5 furlongs at this level June 14. It was her first since Nov. 24, her first for Mike Trombetta, and a fast and/or contested pace would help her chances out.
