Top pick: #3 (GROOMEDFORVICTORY) (3-1) - Old timer has more lifetime wins (14) than the rest of those still running combined (11). His local slate is excellent 13-6-3-1 and he was a winner here at this level and distance just eight days ago. In a red hot barn (Dave Jacobson) and 9-year-old by "Victory Gallop" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Saturday Appeal) (6-1) - Speed/stalker was a bit sub par on Oct. 23 at Belmont and that broke up a string of fine efforts at this level that saw him go 5-1-3-0 dating back to mid-June. He had a half-mile bullet work at Belmont on Nov. 5 and can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #6 (Joe Mooch) (7-2) - Speed/stalker has been claimed out of three straight starts and runs today for Linda Rice. Gelding enters in career best form, is nicely spotted and draws a fine post in his first for the new barn.
