UCLA is suffering through a down year but gets a chance to face Stanford in a letdown spot after the Cardinal upset Washington 23-13 as a 13.5-point underdog before enjoying a bye week. Stanford QB Davis Mills finished 21-of-30 for 293 yards and a touchdown against the Huskies and Cameron Scarlett ran for 151 yards on 33 carries. Mills is questionable for this game due to a left calf injury and previous starter K.J. Costello already has missed the last two games (thumb) and is also questionable. Stanford is 1-4 ATS its last five games and 1-5-1 ATS its last seven when following an ATS win. The Cardinal is averaging only 20.7 points for #114 in the country while the Bruins can put points on the board averaging 26.2 and 397.3 total offense yards. The secondary is a weak spot for the Bruins, but Stanford is only #75 in passing yards plus there is the unsettled quarterback situation. Coach Chip Kelly needs to get some wins soon or his job will be in jeopardy. Play UCLA.
