Rutgers at Wisconsin

Steve Pikiell is doing an outstanding job in his first year as coach at Rutgers as his team is 11-2 and 4-2-1 ATS after a 7-25 record last year. Nigel Johnson leads the Scarlet Knights with a 12.7 scoring average followed by DeShawn Freeman, who averages 12.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest.  Rutgers was one of the worst teams in the country defensively last season, allowing 80.3 points per game but this year the Scarlet Knights are giving up just 62.2 per contest and only a .372 field goal percentage. The only losses were to Seton Hall and Miami, Florida. Wisconsin is also 11-2 although against some tougher competition, but the Badgers come into this one off a 90-37 demolition of overmatched Florida A&M. Bronson Koenig leads the Badgers scoring 14.6 points per game and Ethan Happ pulls down 9.5 rebounds per game. Wisconsin is just 6-13-1 ATS as a favorite of at least 13 points dating to last season.  Take the big points with Rutgers.
